Todd Chaplin, PE
President
   Mr. Chaplin is a principal with the firm, operating in the Swansea, MA office while also
managing projects out of Portsmouth, RI.  He is responsible for all day to day operations,
client contact, quality control and project supervision.  He is a professional engineer with
over twenty years of experience in the environmental engineering field with an emphasis on
advanced wastewater treatment, drinking water supply and distribution and septage
management.  Mr. Chaplin has been involved in the direct design of over five hundred
ISDS projects throughout Rhode Island.  The majority of the designs have been in the
East Bay areas of Portsmouth, Warren, Tiverton, Little Compton, Bristol and
Middletown.  Designs have been prepared for residential dwellings, large condominium
projects, commercial development and schools.


James Hall
Vice President
   Mr. Hall is a principal with the firm directing the Swansea, MA office.  He is
responsible for all day to day operations, client contact, quality control and project
supervision.  He is an experienced engineer with over twenty years of experience in the
civil and environmental engineering field with an emphasis on the design of wastewater
treatment facilities, on-site treatment and disposal systems, construction management and
supervision, site layout and civil engineering.  Mr. Hall is directly involved in all major
subdivision designs, residential and commercial septic system and drainage calculations for
Massachusetts.  He also manages the state of the art computer hardware and software for
the firm, utilizing the latest AutoCAD, modeling, publications, construction management
and communication packages.


Melissa Martel
CAD Designer
   Ms. Martel has been employed with Mount Hope Engineering since June of 1998.  She
primarily deals with engineering designs in Massachusetts, and some projects in Rhode
Island.  She is responsible for residential and commercial septic system designs, soil
reports, Notice of Intents for wetland filings and drainage design.  She has been involved
in all the major subdivision designs the firm has done in Massachusetts in the last few
years.  Ms. Martel also does field work including topographical surveys, major stake-outs,
as-built inspections and percolation testing.


Tina Bell
CAD Designer
   Mrs. Bell has been employed with Mount Hope Engineering since June of 1999.  She
on the other hand, primarily deals with engineering designs in Rhode Island, and some
projects in Massachusetts.  She is responsible for residential and commercial septic system
designs, subdivision suitability plans, soil erosion and control plans, and drainage design.  
She has been part of all the Rhode Island subdivision designs the firm has done in the last
few years.  Mrs. Bell has also been part of field work including topographical surveys,
stake-outs, and as-built inspections.


Joshua Robinson
Surveyor
   Mr. Robinson has been employed with Mount Hope Engineering since July of 2004.  
He is responsible for all field work including topographical surveys, as-built inspections,
stake-outs, percolation testing, and markings.  He has knowledge of both Rhode Island
and Massachusetts regulations and has been involved in septic designs for both states.  
Mr. Robinson also does research for all jobs prior to the design stage.


Pamela Sanford
Secretary/Bookkeeper
   Mrs. Sanford has been employed with Mount Hope Engineering since 1998.  She has
vast knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft word and excel.  She is responsible for all
accounts payable/receivable, payroll for entire staff, creating and maintaining agreements
and invoices, filing, and inventory control.  Mrs. Sanford is involved in the setting up and
closing of all jobs the firm does.
